Chariots of War 4 - The final chapter!

I didn't have the motivation or heart to take copious notes this time (for which I apologise), so this report is rather picture-heavy. But some of them are priceless and worth a thousand words, so enjoy...

First, the guests. Hudson Leik, Tim Odmonson, Melinda Clark, Adrienne Wilkinson, Claire Stansfield, Paris Jefferson and Jeff Smart from WETA. Oh, and Bunny. He/she bounced, squeaked appealingly, slowly twitched those ears and hopped across the stage. I managed to catch a shot just before the dive off the edge of the stage. Luckily, Bunny bounced!!

Claire is apparently known for her on-stage swearing (!), so had a 'swear fund' for which she (and some generous convention goers) paid £1 per naughty word, I believe. You will see that there was some left over, and indeed an extra £5 found its way into the swear fund somehow, so this was added to the money raised for Kevin's foundation. I think he'd approve!

Clare showed us her self-styled 'dolly porn', featuring the Callisto doll with the Xena shamaness doll who had been given brown eyes to be Alti. The basic plot of the short film was thoughts on what would have happened if Callisto and Alti had ever met. Quite a bit of very realistic fighting, followed by certain antics of an intimate nature (!), a brief cameo appearance by Claudia Christian, ending with the two heroines in a hot tub with Xena's head floating to one side! Yes, there were copies of the video available and Claire plans at least one sequel...

The appearance of Tim and Claire in 'punk' mode on Sunday was greeted with loud appreciation! Then some daring convention-goer goaded them to trade clothes and they did!! Later on, after the 'women in black' had done their piece, Hudson and Melinda borrowed a couple of the costumes from Saturday's competition entries and had some more fun.

I decided I wanted to do something to help the foundation and celebrate the work Kevin has doine outside the Xenaverse (often involving familiar Xena/Hercules actors!). There's quite a body of work, so I picked what I had that was the best quality for viewing. We could have run to a full weekend quite easily! I made sure no-one else had something of the sort planned, then went ahead with the following:-

Now some attendees in various disguises around the convention. 'Ares' was very nicely incarnated by Ian Slavin and you can see why he won first prize, mostly in homour of Kevin. Yes, he met him once and I think some of the WarGod influence rubbed off!
